What
is Karma?
|
Karma is a concept in
Hinduism which explains causality through a system where beneficial
effects are derived from past beneficial actions and harmful effects
from past harmful actions, creating a system of actions and
reactions throughout a person's reincarnated lives.
Everyone who gets birth in this world has to go through whatever
Karma he/she did according to the past life deed. Ancient Hindu
sages has done lot of penance to find many solutions to attain
salvation so as called "MUKTHI" which means no re-birth.
The results or "fruits" of actions are called karma-phala. Karma is
not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward; karma simply
deals with what is the effects of all deeds actively create past,
present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for
one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others. Karma
extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as
well.
To attain salvation there
are three Margams (ways of Life to lead) according to Lord KRISHNA
in Bhagavad Gita. |

The Karma Margam (Way of Life)
is very simple and fruitful to attain salvation just following the Vedic
rituals; performing them at appropriate time according to the vedas;
researched and given by our holy sages like Aapasthambha, Bhodaayana,
Bhaaradwaja etc., according to each and everyones' customs and cast.
The aim of Sri Gayathri Ashram is that everyone should reach the
salvation (Mukthi) following the Karma Margam which is simple and
fruitful as the other two, by simplify performing the Homam/Havan or
Poojas at the right time.
